Go Gucci or Go Home

So I will be selling several things from the wedding: bud vases, chargers, my unworn J.Crew flip-flops - you know. Stuff. If ya want it before I post it - send me email love ASAP. But, before I do that, I want to sell something else. I received a unique wedding present some time ago that I'm really not loving. It was quite the generous gift, a gift I was not able to decline in a way that was either proper, polite and/or socially accepted. The gift was a Gucci bag. I received the first bag in Hong Kong and was totally not into it. I went to the Gucci store in Hong Kong and exchanged it for what I thought I might like that was in the same price range. Since we were on massive financial lock-down, it wasn't like I could upgrade, even though I TOTALLY wanted to.

Here's the bag I now own.
Yes, it's real. I have all the information: tags, receipts, leather embossed style numbers, imprinted dust bag, etc. I don't do fake (anymore).

The value of this bag is $980.65 (I can prove this).

It hasn't been used once. Not once. It's just not me.

Here are the details:

Gucci medium drawstring handbag made of 'interlocking icon' Beige/Ebony GG fabric. Brown leather trim, handle and tassels with brass hardware. Interlocking G ornament on single shoulder strap. Adjustable to 12.5, 15 or 17.5 cm drop. Drawstring leather tassel closure with inside zip, mobile phone and PDA pockets. 48 x 4 x 40 cm.

I'm looking for $675, but will entertain all offers.

You know where to find me.

(I can just feel MissKriss and Chic n Cheap, and perhaps even Miss SE, wondering why in God's name I'm bailing on the bag! It's just not me, ladies!)

I didn't say anything (yet), hehe. What an amazing gift!

It is Gucci - are you sure you can't exchange for something else you like at Gucci (sunglasses, gifts for others, shoes). If you want help selling somewhere like Purse Forum, e-mail me/Facebook me!

Well, when I exchanged the first time, they stamped the receipt with a "No exchange, No return" option, so I don't think I can exchange it for anything else. And sadly, Gucci doesn't have stores in Tennessee.

I am wondering also!!! It's GORGEOUS (and very "me", lol) but the price tag, alas, is not. Some day.....*sigh* ;-)

AHHHH!! Why must you torment me so?! You're right...there's definitely no way that I could bail on a bag that fabulous! But I completely understand how not *loving* a bag is, especially when there's something else out there that I want even more!! :)

If I wasn't broke as a joke, I'd totally take this baby off of your hands!! :) Good luck selling it, though! I'll ask around and see if anyone I know is interested! :)

P.S. I miss you!

I hear ya. I hate those expensive logo-covered bags. They should pay YOU for the free advertising as you wear it around town.
