MARIA!
Congratulations, girl! I've already sent you an email, just send me one back and I'll hook you up with the goodies!
Next, I have succumbed to my own Wedding Industry Complex weaknesses. It's true. I submitted my wedding to The Knot. Please go and vote although I know I'll never win, it'll just make me feel a ton better if you do. You can also vote as many times as you damn well please. Good to know, right? Go here and VOTE!
Next, I have got sooooooo much crap to share with you guys this week. I've got a new UnFake Wedding to recap with a gorgeous and deliciously spunky bride! Just you wait!
I also went to the amazing The Bride Room on Friday for a fabulous trunk show and I got to rub elbows with a designing legend. Oh yes, I did. I also got to play with a professional camera and cut my teeth in attempts to be as fabulous as my photographer, Jonathon Campbell. You know what people? That shit is HARD. I took many a photography class in high school and let me tell you, this digital stuff is light years ahead of my teenage dark room antics. I need to do some serious catching up!
Just a quickie story from the trunk show though: I know that there were some amazing photographers there that night (will share who later) and I know that they were all looking at me doing close-ups with a telephoto lens and thinking, "What the eff is this girl doing?" When I met some of these photographers, it was so cute. They're all, "Um, so you're a photographer...." eyebrows raised politely in question since I am certainly not part of that community in lil' ol' Nashville. I was quick to respond, "Oh God, no. I'm The Thirty-Something Bride!" They all seemed to collectively exhale whenever I said this because it was clear they were all a little worried about me and my "technique" that evening. Bless their hearts! I want to let everyone know now: I am learning. I was playing with as much as I could since the camera was on loan. I have no idea what I'm doing. No, I am not a photographer. I just play one on this blog.
I can't WAIT to recap all this madness with you! It's coming, it's coming! Sadly, I have a real job I have to do first. Dammit. Hold on to your party britches, I'll crank through it all as fast as I can!
Happy Monday, people. The week is starting off good as it's 50 degrees in Nashville today. Might as well be freakin' summer compared to the crap winter we've had! Yeehaw!
