I was really taken with all the hanging lights, which created such a lovely, private and cozy feeling. Lighting has a lot to do with how it all looks as well, as mentioned above by Jamie. Before we had our venue, we visited one that we loved, but their packages included all sorts of uplights and other lighting options that I got scared. We backed out because it was a) too expensive and b) confusing as all hell.

simpleweddingdresses comments on {Wedding Color Palettes} Start with the Venue…ALWAYS!

WOW Amazing!!So gorgeous and beautiful!Inspiration too rich.

simpleweddingdresses comments on {Unfake Engagement Shoot} Andrew & Alyson Rock it Out!

Romantic and sweet couple!Best wishes!

Sam comments on David's Bridal vs. Vera Wang

I bought the one shoulder Vera gown at DB. I didn't purchase it because of the name. I purchased it because it chose me. I have always been a wedding skeptic; never was one of those women who dreamed of their special day since they were a toddler. I certainly did not believe all that bologna when they said, "you'll know when it's the one." But it's true. I didn't want to take it off, couldn't believe how wrong I had been all of that time, and intend on framing it when the wedding is over. What's more? It was the SECOND dress that I tried on. I just knew. Anyway, I could do without David's Bridal. Staff is very unprofessional and unseasoned, and store is an unorganized mess. I was pulling my OWN dresses that day, and when we returned to select our Bridesmaids dresses, same thing! I should've gotten a discount....or a job. I don't think there's anything wrong with Vera crossing the line. As aforementioned, it's been done before. Personally, I think it speaks volumes about wanting to share with the less financially fortunate, and it shows that she knows how to market herself. Kudos!

Firstlight Photography comments on {Unfake Engagement Shoot} Andrew & Alyson Rock it Out!

Many thanks for your post about this amazing couple. I needed to hear this. I've been thinking about a peachy coral and a ruby red, which my BFF says don't go together - BUT, if you add ivory, brown, and maybe a blush (not totally a fan) or maybe a poppy (maybe too bright?)? That could round it out. What I'm going for is late summer, vineyard, tented reception.
5 colors. I'm on it. And thanks for the color websites. Off I go!

Artisan Flowers comments on {Wedding Color Palettes} Start with the Venue…ALWAYS!

So true, and such needed advice for some.
